Andrew Senn Organ Recital Wednesday, July 9, 7:30 pm, SanctuaryAndrew Senn is the Director of Music and Organist at The First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, where he conducts a professional choir and oversees a growing concert series. He has played concerts all over the world and has been described as a “technicolor tour-de-force!” $10 includes dessert reception. Family Fun Nights in July! Bon Voyage Concert Sunday, July 20, 7:00 pm, Sanctuary Come give the Chancel Choir a great send off as they leave on their Music and Mission tour to Ireland. The concert includes music by Henry Purcell, Edgar Bainton, and Richard Dirksen performed as they will be presented on tour. $10.

OCTOBER The Blessing of the Animals

5:00 pm Gathering on the Soccer Field 5:30 pm Procession & Service Celebrate the Feast of St. Francis with us! Have your faithful companions blessed on this day. All creatures great and small are welcome, be they four-legged, feathered or finned! We’ll be joined once again by our animal friends from Wildlife Wonders Petting Zoo as we come together to enjoy a beautiful autumn day and a special service with our pets.
Walk for The World Sunday . October 19 8:45 & 11:15 am . Worship 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm . Registration / Walk / Live Music / Picnic Each year, we walk to help underprivileged countries. The funds we raise help feed the hungry, provide jobs, improve sanitation, support orphanages, and build Christian churches. Registration fee for Walk for the World includes dinner, music and t-shirt for each participant. |

NOVEMBER PRUMC Annual Yard Sale! Saturday . November 1 We will have over 60 booths of antiques, toys, jewelry, couture clothing and just plain junk! All proceeds from the staff booth benefit the 2009 Great Day of Service. Breakfast and a cookout lunch make the day complete! We are looking for volunteers that want to help with this fun event. Harvest Sunday Sunday . November 23 8:45 & 11:15 am . Worship 11:00 am to 1:00 pm . Thanksgiving Luncheon We come together to give thanks to God for all of our blessings. The Chancel and Parish Choirs and the Atlanta Brassworks present special worship. Afterwards, we join our church family for a traditional turkey and dressing luncheon to celebrate the season. |

DECEMBER
The Great Christmas Tree Lighting! This annual event begins in the sanctuary with a program featuring all the choirs of PRUMC. After the musical presentation, we process outside for the lighting of theChristmas Tree, ending in a delicious treat of hot chocolate and cookies in the Fellowship Hall! This event always starts the Christmas Season on a joyous note!
Breakfast in Bethlehem Join us for breakfast and journey to meet the nativity characters! This annual event is a morning out for parents, a great Christmas activity day for children and a fund raiser for youth missions!
The Many Moods of Christmas Concert This annual concert celebrate the birth of the Christ-child through music. The concert features the adult choirs of PRUMC with full orchestra. Selections include many favorites of the PRUMC congregation including traditional Christmas carols. This concert is always complimentary as our Music Ministry's gift to you!
The Longest Night Service This is a special prayer service of hope, healing and support. During the Christmas season, it is sometimes difficult to reminisce when you have experienced loss. Join us for support and encouragement through this meaningful worship service.
Christmas Eve Worship Services . December 24 We cordially welcome you, your friends and family to share in one of our special Christmas Eve services!
12:00 pm . The First Communion of Christmas This service begins the great festival of Christmas with a celebration of the Eucharist. This warm service features our annual Christmas Volunteer choir.
4:00 pm . Family Candlelight and Christmas Pageant This favorite service features our traditional children’s pageant with angels, shepherds, stable animals, wise men, and the Holy Family with music by the children's choirs.
6:00 pm . Family Candlelight and Christmas Pageant A second family service and children’s pageant will feature more favorite characters from the Christmas story and music by the children's choirs.
8:00 pm . Festival of Lessons and Carols With festive music presented by all youth and adult choirs and the Atlanta Brassworks, we herald in this most holy night.
10:30 pm . Festival of Lessons and Carols with Holy Eucharist Our last service of Christmas Eve features our combined adult choirs and the Atlanta Brassworks. This service includes a celebration of the Eucharist. Be sure to arrive early for seating. |

Sunday School Open House Volunteer Celebration
FEBRUARY
Youth Sunday PRUMC Youth will lead worship on this day - singing, praying and preaching. The Souper Bowl of Caring will also take place, which is one of our biggest fund raisers for Youth mission trips.
Outreach Sunday This special Sunday is dedicated to our Christian calling to serving those less fortunate. On this day, the music, speakers and sermon will reflect the transforming power of service.

APRIL Join Team PRUMC in the Relay for Life 2009! Oglethorpe University Help us be #1 this year in fundraising for cancer research! The Award Winning PRUMC Relay Team is planning to raise $15,000 for the American Cancer Society at this year's event! All Peachtree Road Members and friends are invited to participate in the fun event with a great purpose!
Great Day of Service 2009 Saturday . 8:00 am to 3:00 pm See what a difference “the power of one” can make in our community and in others lives as we take one day out of the year and volunteer to help those in our community. We have over 93 projects to choose from that include indoor and outdoor activities to accommodate all ages and abilities. You may choose to sew, paint, package, landscape, build, plant, sort, create, clean, entertain or visit! |
