Frequently Asked Giving Questions

• Cash: You can put cash in the offering envelopes located in the pew pockets and complete the front of the envelope with your name, and designation for the gift so the business office can give you credit on your contribution statement.

• Checks: Your check can be made to PRUMC.  Again, please designate on the bottom left corner of your check how you would like for it to be applied.  The mailing address for checks is 3180 Peachtree Road, NW, Atlanta, GA 30305, Attn: Business Office.

• Credit Cards: The church accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.  You can make an online donation by clicking here. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to provide your credit card information and the amount you would like to give.  We can set this up to occur monthly, or you can do this once a year.

• Stock Contributions: Stock can be wired from your brokerage account into the church brokerage account.  The church sells stock donations immediately upon receipt.  The proceeds of the stock sale net of broker’s commissions are then credited against the donor’s “Record of Contributions.”  The church maintains accounts with several of the larger firms for the convenience of the congregation.  Please call or email the business office at 404.240.8233 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to determine which of the church’s brokers would be best for your transaction and to notify us that a wire transfer of stock has been executed.  This will allow for the timely sale of the stock by the church.  If you are in possession of the stock certificate, you can deliver the stock to the church and endorse the certificate over to the church.

• The operating fund is the annual fund which supports the programs, ministries and physical church buildings.  Pledges are being made currently to fund the projected 2009 operating budget.

• The capital campaign was begun in 2005 and is a 5 year commitment to be completed in 2010.  The purpose is to fund the purchase of real estate and the construction of the parking lots we currently use.  We continue to encourage our new members to make pledges to this fund.

• Throughout the year the church has numerous outreach giving opportunities which are not part of the annual operating fund.  Among these are, Souper Bowl of Caring, Walk for the World, Joyous Toys, Christmas Kindness, Habitat for Humanity, Camp Scholarships, Wesley Woods Mother’s Day Offering, United Methodist Children’s Home, and many others.
