Creation Care Ministry
The PRUMC Green Team would like to acknowledge the Great Day of Service Committee for responding to the call to be better stewards of God’s creation by switching from T-shirts to reusable, recyclable water bottles. Not only does used clothing make up 6% of landfill waste, but the impact of single use bottled water is astounding: 86% of single use water bottles (2 million used in the US every 5 minutes) end up in landfills instead of being recycled. The shift from T-shirts to reusable water bottles is one way PRUMC is going green. Be proud to use your PRUMC Great Day of Service reusable water bottle!

The Back 40 Organic Vegetable Garden
The PRUMC Green Team sponsors  a vegetable garden in our back lot, near the Boy Scout Hut.  So far we have installed 8 raised beds for the purpose of growing fresh, organic vegetables that will be donated to those in need.  If you want to get involved, please contact Leslie Watkins.

PRUMC Featured in AJC - Caring for Our Planet
