Welcome to PRUMC Global Missions
PRUMC sends over 100 members on global mission trips to Kenya, the country of Georgia, Nicaragua and Honduras. They build new homes for families living in sub standard conditions, provide love and support to children without parents, start self-sustaining projects in third world countries and spread the love of Christ on behalf of the PRUMC congregation.
Each year promises to bring even more opportunities and meaningful mission trips to our church. Great things happen when we listen to God's call and have a heart to serve. Peachtree Road United Methodist has always been a congregation filled with compassion and has been the light of hope for many people around the world.

Global News
We've Struck Water!
On Thursday, March 22, 2012 - which happens to be World Water Day - our friends in Kenya struck water. Through grants from the PRUMC Endowment Fund, the agency Start with One Kenya was able to fund a drilling project that finally reached water at 95 meters. A well has been drilled, and now that region of Kenya will have a better life thanks to the sustaining force of water in the well. "Well" done Peachtree Road! Click here to view an amazing video of the event.
Our liaison, Bill Coble wrote yesterday to say, "PRUMC can be very proud of what has been accomplished. Lives have been touched and changed. I preached yesterday at the site and we had over 30 people come forward for an "altar call" ... and we didn't have an altar! The service was under a tree beside the well. It was a very moving time for all. Thank you."

PRUMC Mission Trips
September 20 to September 30 / or extended trip to October 6, 2012 For over 10 years, PRUMC has been taking teams to Georgia. We sponsor over 350 children living in 6 orphanages. These children, many with special needs, live in a desperately impoverished region of the world. Our small efforts make an incredible difference to these children, and most importantly, offer hope for a better life. PRUMC sends teams to the HOI ranch in the Agalta Valley of Central Honduras. This area has the highest concentration of poverty in Honduras. Mission teams work on community projects in the villages surrounding the HOI ranch by providing cement floors, latrines and a variety of home improvements. Most one/two bedroom homes are made of sticks, mud and clay. For more information, visit the Honduras mission website above or contact Anne French at 404.240.8205 or

September 5 to September 15, 2012. Our focus is to connect with the United Methodist church in Kenya and support their projects. Our funding supports a water initiative in Kenya to promote clean water. Teams from PRUMC distribute water filters, do construction, work with children and build relations with the people of Kenya. Chat Uken, a PRUMC member, is an UMVIM missionary in Kenya and oversees our projects there. For more information, visit the Kenya mission website above or contact Anne French at 404.240.8205 or

December 26, 2012 to January 1, 2012 (Family). PRUMC has two mission experiences in Nicaragua - an adult mission trip and an annual family mission trip. Our teams work in the village of Los Rios. Projects include working with children, construction, community development and building relationships. The family mission trip offers the unique experience of allowing your family to participate in doing mission work together.
