Moses Wednesday, 10:00 am [Hoffmann] This class will begin September 29, 2010. No other Old Testament person had as much cultural and religious influence as Moses. His role as Israel’s liberator from Egyptian oppression (exodus) and as communicator between God and the people (torah) draw special attention. The Gospel of Luke Wednesday, 10:00 am [Otroszko] FULL The Bible is filled with promises about a Messiah, a Savior, who would not only reconcile God's chosen people Israel to himself, but also any people who believe in him--those from all nations and all walks of life. As we walk through the Book of Luke we will encounter the Gospel of Jesus through the eyes of a Gentile writer—one of the “any people” that found a Savior in Jesus. In this eight week study we will explore Luke’s unique perspective on Jesus and seek to deepen our own relationship with our Savior and our faith community. |
