Blessed…Even When You Are Weighed Down With Guilt

The pace at which we live our lives in the 21st century is exhilarating…and exhausting. We cannot continue working late, driving ourselves harder than ever before, and burning the candle at both ends without hitting the proverbial wall. I don’t know much about auto racing, but I do understand that even the most expensive, finely-tuned cars in the world can’t go 500 miles without regular pit stops. In a similar way, our souls need Sabbath – a regular time of worship that keeps our hearts pure and in tune with God’s Spirit. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” – Bill Britt
