Team Building!

The north Georgia wilderness, outdoor activities, campfires and friends….what more could you ask for?! These things and more are exactly what our 6th grade students experienced at their 2014 confirmation retreat at Camp Glisson September 19th-21st.

The theme of the weekend was “Friends Matter.” Throughout their time at Glisson, our students participated in activities and listened to devotions centered around creating and nurturing friendships that would strengthen their walk with Christ. Climbing the rock wall, zip lining, and the team-building low ropes course were some of the main activities where our students had to support and reply on each other to succeed. Students also had some free time, including a hike to the Glisson waterfall, to continue the relationship building started by the planned activities.

We hope the 61 6th graders who attended the retreat had a wonderful experience and will always keep 1 Corinthians 15:33 in the back of their minds- “Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.”
