I shared some bittersweet news with the students during Sunday school this morning, and wanted to also share this news with you. Last week, I accepted a new position as the Associate Director of Alumni Outreach with the University of Georgia Alumni Association and my last day at Peachtree Road is Sunday, October 15th. Many of you know that my background is in student/university affairs, and I’m excited to get back into that field and about the opportunity to work for my alma mater (Go Dawgs!). This decision, which is the culmination of months of prayer and reflection, started May of 2015 when I came to the conclusion that full-time vocational ministry is not my call.
With that said, I just want to say thank you for your support, love and friendship over the past three and half years. I have enjoyed building relationships with all of you and growing together in our understanding of what it means to be followers of Jesus Christ. The friendships I have developed here at PRUMC will never be forgotten and will always be appreciated. While I am changing positions, I will still be in the area (my office will be across from Lenox Mall), so I hope to stay in touch and see you from time to time. PRUMC will always hold a dear place in my heart, and I will continue to keep the staff and this wonderful church in my prayers.
Thank you again for everything,
