Looking for Jesus

Advent Sermon Series

Looking for Jesus
Advent Sermon Series
Sundays in December

Everyone seems to be looking for Jesus and the gifts of peace, love, joy, and hope he promises in this season. There are just a couple of problems — many are searching for him in the wrong places and others wouldn’t recognize him if they saw him. Are you struggling to see Jesus in your life? Worship with us each Sunday during December as we join those from that first Christmas in looking for Jesus and the peace he brings.

People everywhere around the world are searching. They are longing and yearning to be fulfilled. What every one of us is looking for, and what fulfills our innermost need, is Jesus. This Advent season, we hope you will join us in looking for and finding the Light of the World.

Christmas Kindness 2019

Christmas Kindness

Each December Peachtree Road is privileged to host Christmas Kindness. We provide a shop full of new coats, household items and toys so the working poor of our city may select gifts for their families with dignity, at no cost to them. Beyond providing material items, Christmas Kindness gives an experience of respect and independence to patrons who are known as “working poor.” Many live in area shelters, and all are in need.

Christmas Kindness patrons are warmly welcomed into our church and guided to areas where they select their own gifts for children and family. All items are new, and whether our patrons go home with a toy, a toaster or a warm winter coat, they all leave with the feeling that they matter.  Volunteer here!

Christmas Kindness is not about giving a gift. And it’s not just about giving Christmas. It’s about living Christmas. If you are looking to live out Christmas this year and give of your heart, please join us in supporting this beloved outreach program.

Water for Kenya 2019

Water for Kenya

To date, Peachtree Road has provided 39,000 filters to areas in Kenya. Your generosity has now positively changed the lives of almost a quarter of a million people. Every ounce of clean water brings opportunity. In the areas we have served, people are no longer sick. Their good health brings normalcy and stability to their lives, and to the life of the community.

Because we show up, the regions we serve have experienced:
90% reduction in water-borne illnesses
94% reduction in money spent to treat water-borne illnesses
95% reduction in days of school missed
96% reduction in days of work missed

Each water filter you give provides life-giving clean water to a family for 10 years. You can’t give a better gift than that. Join us in making yet another miracle this Christmas. $40 provides one life-saving UZima water filter that is recommended by the World Health Organization. Please make a difference and give life! Give online here or give in worship on December 24.
