The Great Tree Lighting

Join our children’s and youth choirs for a beautiful Christmas music program based on the influences of France, Germany, Norway, Central Africa, Huron India and West India.

Following the lighting of our Sanctuary’s Great Tree, please gather with us in Grace Hall for delicious treats, hot cocoa and coffee.

The PRUMC Chancel Choir, soloists and orchestra present their Christmas classic featuring Handel’s Messiah, traditional Christmas hymns, and moving new settings of familiar carols. This concert will open your hearts and souls to the miraculous story of Jesus’ birth.

Tickets are complimentary but necessary for seating.   Reserve tickets online here or pick up tickets at the Dogwood Shop or church office beginning Sunday, November 20.  Childcare is available, no reservation necessary.

Ring in the Holiday Season with the internationally acclaimed Georgia Boy Choir! Come hear all five levels of the Georgia Boy Choir in this Atlanta tradition and PRUMC favorite. Don’t forget Atlanta’s largest performance of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” with all the audience participating! Georgia Boy Choir Festival Finale Concert

The Georgia Boy Choir Festival brings all five levels of the Georgia Boy Choir, various visiting Choirs, and dozens of local singers to Peachtree Road for a weekend of beautiful music making. The Festival concludes with The Georgia Boy Choir Festival Grand Finale Concert featuring the Georgia Boy Choir, plus performances by the various Choirs attending, and all the participants singing as one tremendous Festival Choir. Don’t miss hearing these hundreds young choristers from around the country as they celebrate their shared love of singing!

Coro Vocati is an ensemble of professional singers with a mission to create music at the highest level of choral artistry. Under the leadership of renowned choral conductor Dr. John Dickson, and in collaboration with pianist and organist Dr. Jonathan Crutchfield, the choir has established itself as one of the premier professional choral ensembles in the southeast.

With a repertoire spanning the breadth of choral literature, from early music and time honored classics to new works, Coro Vocati’s performances represent a diversity of musical styles and cultural backgrounds. The choir is a champion of modern composers, having performed a number of local, regional, and world premieres, and is active in commissioning new works.

Passion of the Christ: The Musical Stations of the Cross

Over the past decade, Peachtree Road has created a beautiful Lenten tradition through inspired improvisations and organ works played by two organists on the Church’s two consoles of the Great Organ, reflective settings sung by PRUMC’s Schola and live readings of connective scripture.   The Sanctuary is illuminated by the glow of hundreds of candles representing Christ’s light in world’s darkness and inspire moments of reflection and contemplation for the listener.

Atlanta Summer Organ Festival

Jean-Baptist Robin

Jean-Baptiste Robin is regarded as one of the most prominent French concert organists and composers of today. With his appointment in 2010 as Organist of the Royal Chapel at the Palace of Versailles, he was secured a place in a long line of famous French organists, such as François Couperin, Louis Marchand, Louis-Claude Daquin, and Claude Balbastre. He also serves as Professor of Organ and Composition at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Versailles.

The Atlanta Summer Organ Festival was established in 1995 to help increase classical music performances in the summer and PRUMC joined as a host in 2002.  To this day, the festival continues the tradition of offering a series of wonderful venues for both established and talented rising your organists.  Please join us for a dessert reception after performance.

Elizabeth B. Stephens International Organ Competition

June 17-19, 2024, Sanctuary 

 The Music and Arts Program will host the second bi-annual Elizabeth B. Stephens International Organ Competition on June 17 – 19, 2024.  It is designed to attract the very best young organists from around the world and will be centered on the Great Organ of the church.  Six organists will be invited to Atlanta to compete for prize money totaling $21,000.  The competition will be judged by a jury of five of the world’s finest performers.  This competition was founded by the family of the late Elizabeth B. Stephens, who was a great supporter of the arts at PRUMC and throughout the city of Atlanta.  For more information about the competition and Betty’s legacy, visit
