What we do matters…

Dear friends,

We are entering a season of service in the life of our church.  Lent is approaching and we have ample opportunities to continue making a difference with our partner agencies across Atlanta.  Last year we began a “setting aside” to create real, sustainable change in our community — the PRUMC Lenten Offering.  We exceeded our expectations and impacted our agencies in ways we wouldn’t have imagined.

What we do matters.  And what we give makes a huge difference.  We have the soul to create change — our partners have the arms to hold, the legs to carry, the backs to bear, and the hearts to heal.  Together we are the body of Christ.  Let us once again bring our vision into our partners’ missions to glorify God.

For who is greater, the one seated at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves. Luke 22:27

This is the last lesson Jesus chose to share with his apostles.  By these words, we as Christians are called to care.  We are here to help, compelled to humble ourselves and honor Christ’s sacrifice.  We are the bringers of hope, the speakers of prayer, the sharer of gifts.  Prayerfully consider what you bring to the table and join us this season in giving to our brothers and sisters in need through the 2019 PRUMC Lenten Offering.  Our goal is $335,000 and its impact matters.

Thank you!
