Celebration of Freedom Patriotic Worship

We’ll enjoy Patriotic Music with Choirs, Brass, Festival Chorus, and Timothy Miller singing “God Bless America.”  Worship will feature our annual Procession of Veterans and an inspiring message from Rev. Bill Britt. We will also welcome new members on this day.  Be sure to wear red, white & blue!

Raise your voice in unison to praise God and be a part of the emotion and power of song on this day.  We want you in the choir loft for our Celebration of Freedom! This new competition was founded by the family of the late Elizabeth B. Stephens, who was a great supporter of the arts at PRUMC and throughout the city of Atlanta. The six talented young organists were chosen from more than seventy applicants from around the world. All are welcome to attend the finalist recitals and enjoy the astounding talents of these young organists. The announcement of the winners and a reception will take place here later that evening.

Respite Care Atlanta is seeking volunteers for its weekly respite program assisting adults living with mild-to-moderate dementia. Volunteers get to share their ideas and talents while helping to provide a safe and stimulating environment for program participants. Monthly Info Sessions at Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church (the program location) give prospective volunteers a closer look at the program and the volunteer roles and a chance to ask questions. 6th Grade Look Ahead Preview

Memorial Day Children’s Ministry Schedule
Childcare provided for children ages PreK and younger at the 8:45, 10:00 and 11:15 services. Our regular elementary classes will not meet. Children in Kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to join their families in worship.

Each day is sure to be a blessing to those we serve and to those of us who are serving others!  $50 per family (includes lunch and supplies for the agencies we serve.
