CONVERSATION SERIES

Sunday Conversation Series
To help introduce our new mental health ministry, we have asked our pastors, counselors, and confidants to guide us into a new space of acceptance, and openness.

A Conversation with Rev. Jamie Jenkins and Lena Jenkins on Depression
Sunday, January 23, 5:30 pm, Hospitality Suite

In this conversational series, Rev. Ron Greer will introduce PRUMC’s new ministry on mental health, the One Lamb Initiative and discuss how it can be used as a resource for hope and support. The series will continue with Rev. Larry Adams, Rev. Jamie Jenkins and Lena Jenkins as they discuss:

  • How to recognize anxiety and depression in ourselves and others
  • How to know when to seek professional help
  • How to take care of ourselves and support loved ones with anxiety or depression

In order to normalize and destigmatize mental health concerns, the One Lamb Initiative hopes to make mental wellness an ongoing conversation.  One Lamb will delve deeply into various topics regarding mental health and provide educational resources, inspirational stories, spiritual guidance, and small group lessons.  In doing so, we hope to nurture mental wellness through a community of connection, support, and spiritual growth.
