The campus of Peachtree Road is a haven for so many during troubled times. We come for sanctuary, we come for nourishment, and we come to be reminded of God’s love and grace. This is especially the case for our homeless friends who visit throughout the week. Their needs are spiritual but also physical. They often rely on us for a healthy lunch and a kit and space to practice good hygiene. In these times, the ability to access essentials and safe facilities is critical to wellness.
We want you to know that despite the temporary closure of our campus and indoor spaces, we continue to provide for our vulnerable friends experiencing homelessness. We have installed a Men’s and Women’s portable restroom and hand washing station in the Blue Parking lot for hygiene health. We also continue to have sack lunches and hygiene kits available in a manner consistent with current social distancing practices—goods are placed outside of the locked doors on carts.
Peachtree Road is the only church or relief center in Buckhead still providing some type of service for those living outdoors at this time. We are committed to this role and want to thank you for the support and prayers you offer; we could not continue this work of the church without you!
