Disciple & Short Term Bible Study – 26 Classes!

Disciple & Short Term Bible Study
Classes begin Sunday, August 27

Bible Study is one of the greatest ways we grow in our discipleship with Christ and in our relationships with one another. This year there is something for everyone! I’ve often heard, “I can’t go to Bible study, I don’t know enough about the Bible.” Fear not…whether you’ve never really read the Bible or you’ve been taking classes for years, spending time studying God’s word can be transformative: increase your knowledge, develop the discipline of a daily or weekly routine, and learn more about God and one another. Sign up today for a short-term study to get your feet wet, or for a 36-week disciple class to dive right in! – Rev. Julie Schendel

Accidental Saints

AUG 1 & 8

Tues

Summer Book Club — Accidental Saints

Summer Book Club—Accidental Saints
Tuesdays, August 1 & 8, 6:00-7:30 pm, C104

Summer Book Club is squeezing in one more round in August. Join us to read and discuss Nadia Bolz-Weber’s book Accidental Saints: Finding God in All the Wrong People. Tattooed, angry, and profane, this former standup comic turned pastor stubbornly, sometimes hilariously, resists the God she feels called to serve. We’ll discover how God shows up in the least likely people, and how we can embrace that transformation together. Once we’ve read the book, join us for An Evening with Nadia Bolz-Weber on Aug. 17th and hear the author share her wild and funny stories straight from the heart.

For more information, contact Julie Schendel at julies@prumc.org.

Why God? Weekend

Youth Ministries Why God? Weekend
August 18-20, Harp Student Center

Why would a teenager living in Buckhead in 2017 believe in a God? Can faith and science co-exist? How can you go deeper in your faith?

We’ll explore these questions and more in a weekend full of compelling messages, engaging worship, and fun with friends. All sessions will be held in the Harp Student Center at PRUMC. Students will stay in host homes for the weekend with peers of the same age and gender. We’ll end the weekend by sharing breakfast and attending Sunday worship together! $75 registration fee covers 3 sessions, food, and a t-shirt.
