Sewing for Quilts of Valor

Saturday, September 20th, several ladies from The Carol Turrentine Sewing Guild met in the PRUMC Sewing Room to begin our 2014 quilts for the QOV organization.  Our goal is to make six this year (Sept. 2014-May 2015).  We are off to a great start!  Pat Kilmark is putting together a top with the circle pattern, Stacy Taylor-Sallis is already at the machine quilting stage of the first quilt, and I’m finishing off the top of quilt #2 using a beautiful panel as the center piece.  We will have another Saturday “Sew-in” in a couple of months, if you’re interested email me at julieg@prumc.org for details or to get on our email list.  This makes us sew happy!
