“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
They shall be like a tree planted by water,
sending out its roots by the stream.
It shall not fear when heat comes,
and its leaves shall stay green;
in the year of drought it is not anxious,
and it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

One way we can stay united in our faith is by placing our trust in God. So many times we forget to include God in our day-to-day plans. We forget to “check in” and ask for God’s guidance, believing we are the ones in control. When things fall apart we quickly turn and point our finger at God, saying “Why did you do this to me?”

What might happen if every morning we began our day asking for God’s presence and direction? Can you imagine how God might work through us, as individuals and as the body of Christ, if we were more focused on doing God’s will than managing our own agendas?
