SUMMARY:Men's Annual Father/Child Camping Trip
DESCRIPTION:The men of PRUMC invite you to join us for the church’s annual Father/Child Camping Trip at Camp Glisson (www.glisson.org). Fathers (and/or Grandfathers!) are welcome to join us with your son(s) and/or daughter(s) as we fellowship together and camp in the woods. Games\, hikes\, and meals are included. Meals include breakfast\, lunch\, dinner\, and s’mores by the campfire! All are welcome\, even if you do not have camping equipment\, as we have much to share. \nThe main camp is from Saturday at 10:00 am to Sunday at 10:00 am. However\, camping on Friday evening is an optional additional night. Friday camping is special because we have a communal dinner at the Smith House Restaurant in Dahlonega after we set up our tents. On this campout\, we’ll have fun playing games\, sharing meals\, hiking\, doing a service project\, and worshiping by a stream. You and your kids will have a great time!

SUMMARY:2025 Men’s Spiritual Retreat at Camp Glisson
DESCRIPTION:Rev. Bill Britt and Rev. Geoff Beakley invite you to join them for PRUMC’s first annual men’s spiritual retreat in the North Georgia mountains. This retreat is a unique opportunity for personal growth\, helping you deepen your connection with God and build stronger relationships with other men from PRUMC. Our moderator for the retreat is Dr. Brent Strawn\, the preeminent professor of Old Testament studies from Duke University. Dr. Strawn will guide us in faith-based discussions as we contemplate our role as leaders for Jesus Christ through his mastery of the Old Testament. \nModerator: Dr. Brent A. Strawn is a distinguished professor of Old Testament studies at Duke University and a professor at the Duke University School of Law. Dr. Strawn is recognized worldwide for his expertise. His keen insight and dynamic personality have enabled him to appear on CNN numerous times as an expert in religious discussions. Dr. Strawn is an ordained elder in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church\, and he regularly speaks and preaches at churches across the country. Dr. Strawn will guide us in a fresh look at the Ten Commandments and what they mean to us today as men leading for Christ in the world.
