The National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) working with the One Lamb Initiative provides a research-based class for family members of those with mental health conditions in a non-threatening, anonymous setting at no charge. Taught by trained National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) volunteers who have personal experience, the course provides critical information about mental health diagnoses, treatment options, communication strategies, and self-care. With compassion at its core, Family-to-Family empowers participants to support their loved ones while also tending to their own well-being. The class is limited to 24 participants and is a combination of lecture, discussion, and problem-solving. For more information or to register, contact Susan Thigpen at thigpensusan@gmail.com.
