Join the ABO, Dr. Deanna Joseph, and the GSU Choral Artists for Handel’s wildly popular and enduring English opera based on Greek mythology. Acis and Galatea portrays a story from Ovid’s Metamorphoses about the love between the nereid Galatea and a shepherd Acis, Acis’s demise at the hands of a Cyclops, Polyphemus, and Acis’s subsequent transformation by Galatea into a river spirit.
