Methodism 101: Discover Our Wesleyan Roots

Have you ever wondered what makes Methodists…Methodist?  Whether you’re new to the United Methodist Church, considering membership, or simply interested in learning more about our faith tradition, Methodism 101 is a great place to begin.  Join us for a one-hour introduction to the history, beliefs, and distinctive practices of Methodism, with a special focus on our Wesleyan heritage. Together we’ll explore the life and ministry of John Wesley, the core theological convictions that continue to shape the church today, and how Wesley’s emphasis on grace, discipleship, and serving others remains relevant in our daily lives.  This class is designed for anyone who wants a high-level overview of Methodism in a welcoming, conversational setting. No prior knowledge is necessary, and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.  Come discover the story, beliefs, and mission that continue to inspire generations of Methodists to grow in faith, respond to God’s grace, and serve their neighbors.
