Sunday Worship: We Are Grateful for the Church

Sunday, November 9, 8:45 am - 12:15 pm

Sanctuary

Rev. Bill Britt, preaching

We Are Grateful for the Church
-In Philippians 4:4-9, Paul offers encouragement to live with joy, gentleness, prayer, and peace—fixing our minds on what is true, noble, and praiseworthy. This passage teaches us that the strength of the church begins with the character of its people, shaped by gratitude, trust in God, and a focus on what uplifts and unites. Through this message, we are reminded that when the church lives out these virtues, it becomes a powerful witness to God’s presence and peace in the world.

This Sunday is part of the Thanksgiving Series:

We are Thankful…
In this season of thanksgiving, we pause to remember the people, places, and promises that shape our lives and strengthen our faith. Through Scripture and shared reflection, we’ll give thanks for the saints who came before us, the Church that holds us, the people who walk beside us, and the blessings that sustain us. As we open our hearts in gratitude, we are reminded that thanksgiving is more than a holiday—it’s a way of life rooted in God’s abundant grace.
