The Last Ride by Martha Tate

Author Martha Tate, longtime garden columnist for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and co-producer of the HGTV series A Gardener’s Diary, spent four years pursuing the truth about a 50-year-old society murder that rocked Nashville’s wealthy Belle Meade and held the entire city spellbound. The Last Ride is listed on Vanderbilt’s bestseller list, Ann Patchet’s must-reads and is grabbing the attention of those who remember, and those who are captivated by true-crime.

Please come to PRUMC’s Grace Hall on
Sunday, April 2
between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm
to purchase your copy as part of a fundraiser!

Martha has generously offered to use her new book as a means to restore something very near and dear to her heart – the PRUMC Cutting Garden. The Cutting Garden is located on our church campus and is used to cultivate flowers and greenery for the magnificent arrangements in worship each Sunday. Many of the garden’s mature plants were hurt during the Christmas cold snap and will need to be replaced.

In addition to purchasing a book, you may also make a separate donation directly to the Flower Guild at prumc.org/give between March 26 and April 10.

In the meantime, be sure to check out Martha’s website for fascinating details of this true story, historical photos and book club discussion questions. It’s a portrait of the times, and an important read.

Congratulations and thank you, Martha Tate!
