Healing and Hope with Iris Bolton
A Conversation on Grief After Death, Loss, and Suicide
Sunday, September 25, 12:15 – 2:30 pm, Hospitality Suite
Iris Bolton is uniquely qualified professionally and personally to offer hope to those who have lost loved ones by death, loss, and suicide. After the tragic death through the suicide of her 20-year-old son in 1977, Iris and her family were catapulted into a grief process that was excruciatingly painful and ultimately healing and transformative.
As a mental health counselor, Iris then devoted the ensuing decades of her professional training, counseling, and speaking to helping others as they deal with and heal through grief.
Iris is currently an international lecturer and consultant who offers hope to people bereaved by death, loss, and suicide. She is Director Emeritus of The Link Counseling Center, Atlanta, Georgia, where she served as full-time Director for 36 years.
Iris has authored 3 books:
- My Son…My Son… A Guide to Healing After Death, Loss or Suicide
- Voices of Healing and Hope: Conversations on Grief after Suicide
- The Little Book on Grief: Concerns to Consider (with Kit Casey)
We welcome Iris to our Peachtree Road family and are honored and grateful to receive the grace and wisdom she offers. Lunch will be provided. RSVP coming soon to prumc.org.
