DISCIPLE Bible Study

A transformative small group experience

One of our core values at Peachtree Road UMC is that we take the Bible seriously. We encourage all members to participate in the transformational study of scripture both individually and communally. Whether you’re new to Bible study or ready to go deeper, DISCIPLE offers a meaningful journey through God’s Word—building both knowledge and spiritual community along the way.

DISCIPLE Fast Track is a transformational, in-depth Bible study program designed to help participants grow as committed followers of Jesus Christ. Designed for busy schedules, the Fast Track format offers a manageable pace while maintaining the depth of the original DISCIPLE series.

Facilitated by Les Watters and Jeff Nicholson
24 weeks

This study examines the connection between memory and identity as the people of God. Participants will find common themes, including calls to remember, calls to repent, calls for renewal, and calls for community. Class will meet for a total of 24 weeks, studying the Prophets and the letters traditionally attributed to Paul for 12 sessions each.

Invitation to Genesis

Sundays, starting September 13
5:00 – 6:30 pm, C104
Facilitated by Deidra Harrell
12 weeks

This study dives into the rich tapestry of Genesis exploring the interaction between God and very human people – pride, family relationships, conflict and journey all showcase the best-known stories of Creation, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Rebekah and Joseph.
Participants for this Invitation to Genesis do not have to have an in-depth knowledge of the Bible to enjoy and benefit from participation. Reading just two chapters of Genesis a week, they will discover the life altering stories that will invite them to follow Christ as true disciples. As a conversation partner, this class will incorporate aspects of the Genesis study from Amy-Jill Levene.
