Local Outreach Announcements
Help End Youth Violence
Peachtree Road is partnering with the US Attorney’s office to find solutions to end youth violence. If you or your business want to get involved in helping with this crisis, contact Beth Spencer at beths@prumc.org.
Welcome Home House
The Restoration Partners Prison Ministry of Peachtree Road is excited to announce we have broken ground on a four-bedroom home for women transitioning out of prison. We are partnering with Atlanta Habitat and the City of Refuge. The Welcome Home House will be a transformative residence for women returning to society, developed by local organizations dedicated to elevating our communities. Our goal is for returning citizens that are rehabilitated to “come home” to a new life and not re-offend again. Help build the Welcome Home House by making a donation at www.prumc.org/give. Choose “other” and type “Welcome Home House” in the memo line. For more information or to get involved, contact Beth Spencer at beths@prumc.org.
Anniston Civil Rights Trail Experience
Saturday, August 26, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Please join us for this chance to explore our history and heritage, in partnership with Cascade UMC! On this shared experience we will journey by charter bus to follow The Anniston Civil Rights Trail. On the way, we will recognize important events, significant sites and key people of the American Civil Rights Movement. Together we will learn about the cultural changes that would transform the city of Anniston forever. $20/per-person plus the cost of lunch. Sign up at prumc.org/register.
