Led by Rev. John Cromartie

Wednesdays
September 13 – November 15
6:30 pm, C208

“Exploring, Understanding, Celebrating Beginning- the Birthing of Abundance, Flourishing, Life in the Biblical Witness”

Too often, Christian thought has abandoned the Biblical emphasis on the good living of this one precious life for the life after death. In this study, we will approach reading the Bible from the perspective of beginnings. We will look more closely at beginnings and the attendant themes of birthing, the poetic, flourishing, beauty, creativity, community, spiritual imagination, and abundant life. We will then explore and apply these perspectives to selective parts of scripture, specifically John’s Gospel, Genesis, and Isaiah.
